| All seven astronauts are participating as subjects in this investigation. This investigation will determine if stress induces reactivation of the herpes virus in flight. White blood cells, which fight infection in the body, will be assessed for structural and functional changes in space flight. This pre- and post-flight study uses blood drawn in the course of routine medical investigations. |
